Volunteer vacancies

Volunteers TEST lab

Will you join the education team of Museum BroekerVeiling? Our special museum with the oldest vegetable auction in the Netherlands on the edge of the 1000-island kingdom in Broek op Langedijk (municipality of Dijk en Waard) is working on a great educational program and we are looking for new education volunteers for this.

Introduction: Museum BroekerVeiling

We have been working with schools for many years, but this year our educational offer will receive extra attention from us. For example, we have created a new educational space: the PROEFlab. The lab is full of surprising experiments for young Grresearchers and Foodenschappers. For example, we generate electricity with potatoes and lemons, we are going to generate pink sauerkraut from red cabbage, and children like Picassos make their own edible painting of vegetable pigments. In addition, we develop matching lessons that can already start in the classroom.

What does volunteer work entail?

We are looking for volunteers who, as professors in the PROEFLAB, want to guide the children through the experiments. You enjoy working with children in a practical way, discovering and researching together and helping children with the experiments. You are flexible and can respond well to unexpected situations.

Are you the Foodschapper or Grresearcher who will soon be found in the PROEFLAB? Please contact onderwijs@broekerveiling.nl

Open applications for volunteers

The museum is always open to people who would like to volunteer. We currently have room for enthusiastic people at the reception, in the hospitality industry, in management (wood and/or metal processing) and at the eel smokehouse. Even if you think you would be a good fit for the museum for another reason, we invite you to contact us or come by. We are proud that we make things possible with a large group of volunteers and provide a pleasant and safe working atmosphere!
